I’ll tell you a secret: I color my hair blonde at home. It’s a beauty no-no, I know – but to pay 6x less and come out with color that’s more like what I wanted to begin with, I’ll take it.
As such, I’m always searching for a great at-home color. Feria in Diamond Blonde is the best blonde I’ve found – it’s not too bright but not remotely ashy, a natural-looking warm color. The new standard in at-home color is to include a moisturizing conditioner to use after coloring, and Feria’s is thick, luscious and leaves my hair amazingly soft.
Feria claims to be “shimmer enhancing”, and my hair does look beautifully shiny after coloring; however, the effect could just be all the extra moisture from the included conditioner giving my hair body. 4. Mix L'oreal professional creme hair coloring by putting a hole in the coloring tube using the pointed tip, and then mix using a color bowl and brush. Squeeze the desired amount of color into a hair coloring bowl and add an equal amount of developer to the mix. Stir the resulting product with an tint/color applicator brush until mixture has a smooth and creamy consistency
5. Take horizontal 1/4-inch sections starting at the nape of the neck (for both bottle or brush application) and apply color to roots until they are completely covered. Leave on for 25 to 30 minutes. Run through the ends from one to five minutes to refresh color. For whole-head application, apply to the ends first. Start at the nape of the neck and begin approximately an inch from the roots until whole head is complete, then go back through and do the roots, again starting at the nape. Leave on for 25 to 30 minutes for complete coverage.

Many hair colors cause an allergic reaction. I had a reaction to one of Loreal's other products but I really loved the color result.
